Captain Wassegijig

As owner and operator of Wass Tours I am proud to share with you my knowledge and passion of fishing. Certified in Transport Canada Requirements including Small Vessel Operator Proficiency and MED A3 you know that you are operating in a safe and insurable vessel. Our Manitoulin Island Fishing Charter service is the only licensed fishing charter operating out of Eastern Manitoulin Island and Georgian Bay. Avoid the crowds, enjoy the scenery and get ready to reel in a catch of a lifetime!

Salmon/Trout Fishing Charters

Our home ports are Prairie Point in Wikwemikong and Manitowaning but our fully insured, mobile professional fishing charter service offers down rigging for Salmon, Rainbow and Lake Trout on Georgian Bay-Lake Huron surrounding Manitoulin Island and Killarney.  Our salmon charters target mainly Chinook but it is not uncommon to catch Atlantic and Coho Salmon with a mixed bag of Lakers and Rainbow trout. Ask about our Killarney departures.

We also offer flat line adventures for rainbow trout, walleye, northern pike and musky throughout Lake Huron and Manitoulin’s Inland Lakes. Our mobile fishing charter service that takes you to where the fish are, whether you are an avid fisherman looking to land a lunker or you’re a first timer wanting to take the family on a memorable Manitoulin Island Fishing Charter.

Fishing Charters include all rods, tackle, safety equipment and complimentary fish cleaning.

Spring Rainbow Trout

The Spring Rainbow Run is one of the best times of the year on Manitoulin Island to be out on the lake enjoying non stop Rainbow trout action. Located in Manitowaning Bay our ice out fishing charters target staging rainbows but we also fish for migratory steelheads throughout Manitoulin Island. Whether you are trolling, casting or fishing from shore we guarantee that you will not be disappointed with our Manitoulin Island Fishing Charter service. Our rainbow trout shoreline adventures can be enjoyed in the spring/fall and can accommodate larger groups up to 25 people.
